We had a terrific Christmas Eve this year. We started the evening off with a ham dinner. Normally, we have our nice dinner on Christmas. But this year we decided to see if we would prefer it the day before. And we did!
After dinner Dave read Luke 2, while the kids played the parts of Mary (Nat), Joseph (Alex), donkey (Hayden), sheep (Kiki), and angel (mom). Then we watched the "Joy the the World" video and sang a few Christmas songs.
Next, the kids opened up their Christmas jammies from their Grandma Sharrid! Loved them! Thanks mom!
Then, the tradition is that we open up a family gift, which is always a game, and play it. Clue Jr. was a BIG hit!
Before the kids went to bed (later than I had hoped-around 9 ish), we put out our Santa goodies, said prayers and checked to see where Santa was currently (thanks google!). But, the kids were way to excited to sleep. Surprise!
Luckily, Dave and I had wrapped pretty much all the presents earlier in the week, so once the kids were finally asleep we hauled everything downstairs and went to bed ourselves!
