Disneyland! - Califonia Trip Part 2

One of the main reasons we went to California this summer was to take the kids to Disneyland! Initially we were only going to go to Disneyland for one day because it is pretty expensive. However, when Jo and I went to the Disney store to get shirts for the family to wear at Disneyland, we were told about a GREAT Southern California special that was going on- $99 for 3 days at DL! We were told that Jolene could by the tickets using her California Drivers License and then give us the tickets. The offer was too good to pass up...so...Disneyland for 3 days here we come!
We had a the best time at Disneyland! The kids loved the rides. Hayden's favorite ride was Splash Mountain. However,he was not a big fan of the Indian Jones Ride because it was "haunted". Here's Hayden pretending to be scared to go on Splash Mountain...notice how wet he is...could it be because he went on the ride over and over again?!?Alex loved the roller coasters the best! His favorite ride was Thunder Mountain. By the end of the week, he knew that putting your hands in the air and screaming at the top of your lungs made the ride even more fun (which he will now do in the car when going over a hill...augh!) Here's a picture of Alex just before getting on Thunder Mountain Railroad...notice the HUGE smile! Natalie loved the rides also. She went on the Buzz Lightyear ride over and over again as we were killing time waiting for the boys to get off of Space Mountain or Star Tours. Needless to say, she got quite good at shooting the targets. Natalie also loved the Tea Cups and would beg to go on them whenever we walked by.We were really fortunate to not have to wait in long lines (yippee for fast passes and stroller passes!). I think the longest we stood in line was for the new Nemo ride and to see the princesses, about 45 minutes each. The thought of standing in a long, crowded line with 3 anxious kids is not to appealing. But, the kids were great! And it wasn't too hot.

Since we were at DL for 3 WHOLE days, we made sure to take a few photo opps with some of the characters. We were lucky to run into Jack Sparrow at the Pirate's Lair (the old Tom Sawyer island). When Hayden spotted Jack, he made a quick bee-line for him because he wanted to discuss how he (Hayden) could get some of his (Jack's) treasure. When Natalie saw Jack, she clenched her teeth and raised her eyebrows and said "Pirate, scary!" over and over.We also saw and got pictures with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Belle, Mulan, Jasmine and Princess Minnie (by far Nat's favorite...she was so excited but then froze up when we actually met Princess Minnie).

Here are some misc. pictures...

Natalie sleeping. She napped each day...which is when we took advantage of the bigger kid rides with the fast passes!Waiting for the parade.
Natalie getting excited when she saw the princesses in the parade.Super strong Hayden :)
Hayden being "Mr. Photographer" and taking a picture of Dave, Nat and me.We loved every minute at DL (minus a few when meltdowns occured). Dave and I are already thinking about when we will be able to go again.

Hayden was "scared" to go on my absolutely most favorite ride?!!! I LOVE it! So, how many times did you go on it?

Sorry, Alex and Natalie, I don't do roller coasters or tea-cups.

It sure looks like you had a great time! Yep, we should have joined you!

Oh yeah... Tiffany, you take great pix! Wow!
