Washougal River White Water!

One of our annual traditions is to go rafting on the Washougal River with friends each Memorial Weekend. This year we delayed our trip a few weeks because the weather was drizzly that weekend. When we finally went, June 14th, it was perfect weather! We convinced a few friends to "rough the rapids" with us which made the day even more enjoyable.

The Reids The Larkins
The Perkins
Hayden and Alex had a great time in the boat but wouldn't venture into the water much because it was COLD (mountain run off is NOT warm!). However, they did want to start a WATER WAR!!! but were not so willing to take the retaliation.Natalie however thought the boat was scary. She was fine until we hit our first "white water" when I freaked out because I got wet and it was COLD! Needless to say each time she saw the "white caps" she would clench her teeth and grab onto either me or Dave. By the end of the run she realized it wasn't scary and so she ended up enjoying the raft ride after all.
