Polar Express Train Ride

Last night we took the kids to the Mt. Hood Railroad's "Polar Express" Ride. They have been waiting anxiously for last night to come because they got to meet Santa, ride the train to the "North Pole", drink hot chocolate and wear new Christmas jammies and slippers! When we got there, they were beaming with excitement. Hayden was very nervous that we might miss the train! But we made it on time...and with plenty of time to spare!


Once we picked up our tickets, we were able to board the train!
As we waited for the train to depart, we listened to the "Polar Express" soundtrack, ate cookies and drank yummy hot chocolate.

During the ride, the book was read to us. We were ready with our own copy so we could follow along. 3 kids sharing? We enjoyed it while it lasted!

And what would a Polar Express ride be without the conductor punching each kid's ticket! All 3 kids loved it!


Then, after singing some Christmas carols, Santa boarded our train car and sat and visited with each kid! The boys of course gave him a long list of things they want. However, Natalie was playing shy and wouldn't sit on his lap :(
After Santa visited with the kids, he gave each of them a bell. The kids of course had to try them out to make sure they could hear them ring! I guess they BELIEVE!
The evening was terrific and the kids had a great time!
