Disneyland - Day 1

One of the main reasons we went back to California was to take the kids to Disneyland. When we asked them what they wanted to do for vacation this year, Disneyland was very high on their lists (next to visiting their Chase cousins)!
Then Jolene told me their family was going to get season passes to DL this year. It was meant to be...we could go to Disneyland AND spend time with the Chases!

So, for our first day (June 22nd), we got up way early (6 am) so that we could get to DL before it opened. Then we played all day! Here are a few of the gazillion pictures from that day.

Natalie, Alex and me riding the tram into the park. Can you tell that we are excited? We are!!

Natalie was tall enough to go on all the rides in Disneyland (except for Indiana Jones). She, like her brothers, loved Spash Mountain. We went on this ride MANY times. Hayden always seemed to be the one who got soaked!

This year we spent a lot more time in California Adventure because our boys were bigger and could go on pretty much every ride, and because we were with the Chases who have older kids.

California Screaming is Hayden and Alex's favorite roller coaster ride! I have to admit that it is pretty awesome. Love the launch to take off, going upside down, and posing for the camera. Alex's goal was to ride this ride over 7 times (which he did!)

Loved Soarin' over Califonia! It felt so real. I kept having the urge to hold onto Nat so she wouldn't fall. Shivers! and the smells were so cool!
While the older kids went on the Grizzly Rapids Ride, Jowas so kind and took Nat over to the Big Bear play area (what a great aunt!). Nat loooooved it!
The nauseating tea cups, that the kids ALL love! How they don't barf afterwards amazes me.
Rick, Parker and Alex getting ready to ride the Matterhorn.

For lunch we took the kids to McDonalds. They loved it!

Walking back from McD's and excited to continue the fun.

The boys waiting for us adults to figure out what we're doing next.

We all thought it was cute how Nat would cross her legs while riding in the stroller. She can be such a girl! Here she is snoozing (which she did every day)! I guess getting up at 6am, playing hard, and staying up late each night can take it's toll on a 3 year old.
Hayden and his new friend.

This year we watched the Electrical Parade over in California Adventure. We enjoyed it but Hayden fell asleep (when he's done, he's done!) And it was beyond crazy to get back into Disneyland...never again!
When the DL day finally ended (at 11:30 for most of us) we were still pumped and excited to come back in a few days!
