Fathers and Sons Overnighter

Once again, Dave took the boys to the Stake's Fathers and Sons Overnighter. That morning (May 29th) the boys quickly packed their backpacks so that when they got home from school they could load up and be on their way. It's amazing how quickly kids can get ready when it's for something they love!

The overnighter takes place in a LARGE field by Beacon Rock. This year there was a record turnout thanks to GREAT weather!
Here's Alex (and Hayden in the tent) at their "campsite".

That night the boys ran around and played with other boys, the dads talked and they all enjoyed a devotional and some skits around the campfire. The skits are always a big hit with my boys!

The next day, Dave took the boys on a hike on Beacon Rock.
I think this is how Dave and the boys felt after the climb. Tired! and panting like dogs!

Since Natalie and I are left home alone, we have made a tradition of getting together with "girl"friends and eating out at "Old Spagetti Factory". Afterwards, Nat picked out the movie "Tinkerbell" to watch with me. She was SOOO excited. I must say it's really nice to be able to have special, individual time with each kid!
